Eric Lange, president of Lange Transportation & Storage (www.langeshow.com), became a Toronto Maple Leaf season ticket holder for the first time over 25 years ago. At the time, his pair of Golds was shared with three other companies at a mere $30 per ticket over face value. Everyone agreed this was a reasonable amount, as he had invested $120,000 to purchase the Personal Seat License rights.
After a few weeks, he realized the demand was enough that he could start to invest in other seating types to meet different requests he was receiving. After a number of years of acquiring Platinums, Reds, Blues, Greens, and even Purples, he had quite a spread to offer.
The branch was extended to Toronto Raptors, Blue Jays, and concerts at the Air Canada Centre and Molson Canadian Amphitheatre.
In the fall of 2010, after a few years of running the ticket department, Eric decided to sell the original website and customer list to slow down and focus on the transportation portion of the business. He dealt only with his own personal inventory of Leafs tickets.
It was after a number of individuals and companies approached Eric to assist with their ticket needs that he decided the original ticket business model could be revisited.
With a large amount of assistance from his daughter Melissa, they agreed to work with tickets other than their own seats, as well as additional sets from trusted season ticket holders, to compile a great inventory of options. Many individuals and companies were glad to see the reasonably priced tickets available as packages or individual games.
In addition to Maple Leafs tickets, Lange Ticket Service developed an extensive network that provided access and resources to other tickets throughout Toronto, Ontario.
The COVID-19 Years
Like so many businesses, Lange Ticket Service was temporarily forced to close during the COVID-19 pandemic. With events cancelled, venues closed, and the future of live entertainment uncertain, the ticket business came to an abrupt halt.
When live events eventually returned, so did Lange Ticket Service.
We returned to serving our customers, helping people find tickets and navigate the return to concerts, sporting events, and live entertainment. It was a reminder of what had made the business special in the first place — the relationships with customers, season ticket holders, and trusted contacts built over many years.
The End of an Era
For years, Lange Ticket Service continued to operate on the same basic principles it was founded on: personal service, reasonable pricing, trusted relationships, and helping people get into the events they wanted to see.
But in April 2026, changes to Ontario's ticket legislation fundamentally changed the landscape for ticket resellers. After years of navigating an ever-changing ticket industry, these changes ultimately marked the end of Lange Ticket Service.
And so, after years of tickets, games, concerts, customers, last-minute requests, sold-out events, season ticket holders, and far too many conversations about seat locations, Lange Ticket Service closed its doors in 2026.
The website remains as a small piece of its history.
Thank you to everyone who bought a ticket, sold a ticket, referred a friend, sent an inquiry, or trusted us to help make an event happen.
It was quite a ride.
